Does your organization need to think big and get stuff done? I help with both.

Hi! I'm Jon Grabelle Herrmann, based in New York City. For over 25 years, I've been a nonprofit executive, fundraiser, and repeat entrepreneur.

  • What can I bring to your organization?

    Nonprofit know-how

I'm a nonprofit fundraiser and repeat entrepreneur with experience in development, communications, advocacy, board and executive leadership, and operations at small- and medium-sized organizations. I've raised $45M+ cash and in-kind funds from foundations, individuals, corporations, government, and from partnerships with law firms, nonprofits, and universities.

    A "think and do" approach

I am seasoned, and I can be scrappy. I can be your thought partner to ask and explore big questions, develop strategy and plans, research best practices, or facilitate stakeholder interviews and meetings. And I can roll up my sleeves to help you get it done, whether putting together a big grant proposal or donor presentation, preparing talking points or key messages, or hiring contractors to produce a website, video, or special event.

    Broad perspective

I've raised funds and advanced missions for organizations spanning legal services, Jewish life, arts & cultural tourism, higher education, LGBTQ+ equality, early learning, government & international affairs. I'm an experienced board member and volunteer for causes such as the New York City Community Education Councils, Philadelphia Children's Commission, Union Benevolent Association (community grantmaking), Paul Robeson House / West Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, and my synagogue.
